Principal Mineral to Acquire Cerberus-Backed Isola Group and Raise $280 Million in New Funding

Principal Mineral is acquiring Isola Group, a printed circuit board materials maker backed by Cerberus Capital Management, and has secured about $280 million in new financing to expand operations. According to ChainCatcher, Bloomberg reported that Isola produces key materials used in printed circuit boards, which are widely used in electronics including automobiles, aircraft, and AI servers. Principal Mineral, headquartered in Dallas, said it is working to build a localized U.S. printed circuit board supply chain. The company did not disclose the purchase price for Isola Group. Principal Mineral also announced the new funding round, led by Overmatch Ventures and The New Industrial Corp.
