Cuba Prepares for Potential U.S. Aggression, Says President

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced on March 20 that Cuba is preparing for potential aggression from the United States. According to Jin10, during a meeting with foreign activists delivering humanitarian aid to Cuba, Díaz-Canel acknowledged the possibility of aggression against the country. Earlier that day, Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío stated at a press conference that Cuba's political system is not open for negotiation with the United States, nor are the positions of the Cuban President or any Cuban officials. This comes a week after Cuba indicated it had begun dialogue with the U.S. government.
