Artificial Intelligence "Grok" Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup, xAI, has unveiled its debut AI model, Grok, intended to compete with established players like OpenAI, Google, and Meta. With a touch of humour and the ability to handle unconventional queries, Grok aims to carve a distinctive space in the competitive AI market. Elon Musk and xAI said: “It will also answer spicy questions that are rejected by most other AI systems. Grok is designed to answer questions with a bit of wit and has a rebellious streak, so please don’t use it if you hate humour!" Grok VS ChatGPT The primary objective behind Grok's development is to equip AI tools to aid human endeavours in research and innovation. The AI engine, Grok-1, demonstrated superior performance to ChatGPT-3.5 in multiple mathematics and coding tests, although it fell short of outperforming OpenAI's advanced version, GPT-4. Elon Musk and xAI attribute this to the latter's extensive training data and computing resources. They also emphasise that Grok possesses a unique advantage, to provide real-time knowledge via the X platform, a substantial advantage over rivals reliant on older internet archives.
