Ethereum Developers Confirm Glamsterdam Sepolia Activation for October 6

Ethereum developers confirmed at the ACDC #186 meeting that the Glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled to activate on the Sepolia testnet at 13:53 UTC on October 6. According to ChainCatcher, the latest private testnet, Glamsterdam-Devnet-9, is still unstable, with a consensus-layer bug that could stop block production across the network and an execution-layer EIP-8037 bug that still needs to be fixed. Developers plan to launch Devnet-10 in the coming weeks. If Devnet-10 remains unstable, the Sepolia activation date may be delayed. The activation timelines for the Hoodi testnet and mainnet have not been set, leaving the goal of launching on mainnet before year-end uncertain.
