Eighty-two Hong Kong-listed companies have issued earnings forecasts for the first half of 2026, with performance improving notably in sectors including nonferrous metals, semiconductors and brokerages, while real estate, construction, education and discretionary consumption saw declines, according to 36Kr. Chipmakers reported broad gains. Memory-chip company GigaDevice Semiconductor forecast 2026 H1 revenue of about RMB 11.5 billion, up about 177% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of about RMB 6.9 billion, up about 1,099%. The company attributed the change to a recovery in the memory-chip cycle and higher volumes and prices for its memory products, which lifted profitability in its memory business.
