Thetanuts Finance Says Suspected Vault Exploit Involved Deprecated Contract, Not Current Products

Thetanuts Finance said a suspected security incident involving one of its vaults appears to be linked to an old contract version that was deprecated years ago and has already been migrated, adding that it is not connected to any currently operating contracts or products. According to ChainCatcher, the DeFi structured products protocol said its initial investigation indicates the affected vault was an abandoned legacy contract, and it is still investigating details. Thetanuts Finance said it will publish a full post-incident analysis report after it obtains more information. Earlier reports estimated the suspected attack may have resulted in losses of about $2.1 million.
