Apollo and Blackstone Seek Investors for $36 Billion AI Infrastructure Financing

Apollo Global Management and Blackstone Group are engaging additional investors for a $36 billion debt financing deal aimed at supporting Anthropic's AI infrastructure development. According to Odaily, insiders revealed that the financing will be used to purchase Google's custom TPU (Tensor Processing Unit) chips, which Anthropic will lease. Broadcom, which assisted Google in developing these chips, will guarantee a significant portion of the transaction. This deal is poised to be one of the largest private credit transactions ever and potentially the biggest chip financing debt deal to date.
