Drift Protocol to Allow Insurance Fund Withdrawals Post-Platform Relaunch

Drift Protocol announced on X platform that users who have staked in the Insurance Fund will be able to withdraw their shares once the protocol is back online. According to Odaily, the Insurance Fund is designed to maintain the protocol's solvency in cases of liquidation or bankruptcy. The protocol was paused before losses could be addressed through normal liquidation or bankruptcy processes, so the Insurance Fund was not affected by any vulnerabilities or attacks. Drift Protocol further stated that the protocol's own Insurance Fund assets will be used to support the system's relaunch and user recovery. The protocol plans to make the relevant on-chain addresses public to allow the community to track the use of funds and future deployments.
