Mitsubishi Corp. raised its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥1.2 trillion and approved a share buyback of up to ¥1 trillion. According to Sina Finance, net profit for the six months through September rose 74% year over year to ¥619.7 billion, while basic operating cash flow increased 63% to ¥728.1 billion.
The company also raised its full-year basic operating cash flow forecast to ¥1.38 trillion from ¥1.25 trillion; both forecasts could reach record highs. Higher commodity prices and gains from asset sales supported profit growth, while higher costs and weak market conditions weighed on salmon farming and overseas grain trading. Mitsubishi Corp. kept its full-year dividend forecast unchanged at ¥125 per share.
