Binance Makes Latest Proof of Reserve Snapshot Verifiable With Zero-Knowledge Proof

According to the announcement from Binance, the full zero-knowledge proof for its latest Proof of Reserve (PoR) snapshot has been completed, allowing users who hold BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, or ZEC on the platform to independently verify that their balances are backed at a minimum of 1:1. The snapshot was taken at 2026-10-31 00:00 (UTC). Binance said the affected assets were replenished with its own funds and that the ten listed tokens are fully backed. The company plans to take another snapshot with coverage for more tokens on 2026-11-04; generating the updated proof is estimated to take approximately 40 to 50 hours. Binance also said it has covered approximately 95% of the impacted amount. The outstanding 5% consists of tokens outside the top ten, which Binance described as less liquid and slower to source at the required scale. The company said it is working with industry partners to acquire the remaining assets and is preparing to resume withdrawals for additional networks and assets. The next phase is planned for tomorrow, with details to be shared once ready. Binance said it will absorb the financial impact of the stolen funds rather than pass it on to users, and that the backed portion of its commitment is now publicly verifiable.
