U.S. Military Aircraft Damaged in Iranian Attack on Jordan Base, CBS Reports

According to Jin10, several U.S. military aircraft were damaged in Iran's September 8 attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, CBS reported, citing sources. One A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft was hit and had one wing broken off, while eight F-15 fighter jets sustained minor damage and have since returned to service. The report said the Iranian attack came after U.S. forces struck five Iranian oil tankers on September 8, and U.S. troops stationed in Jordan fired more than 30 Patriot air-defense missiles to defend against the attack.
