US senators investigate Binance for allegedly providing access to Iran-related transactions.

Senator Richard Blumenthal, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Homeland Security Committee's subcommittee on investigations, has launched an investigation into Binance following reports that the platform may be involved in sanctions circumvention activities related to Iran. In a letter to Binance CEO Richard Teng, Blumenthal requested documents including records of Iranian users' use of Binance, internal compliance investigation materials, and information on the dismissal of relevant employees. Media reports indicate that Binance's compliance team discovered that partners Hexa Whale and Blessed Trust were used as money laundering intermediaries and provided transaction channels for Iranian government-affiliated entities. Employees involved in the investigation have reportedly been disciplined or dismissed. Binance denies these allegations.
