Yearn Finance's yETH Faces Exploit Impacting Funds

According to Foresight News, Yearn Finance's yETH has been targeted in an exploit. The attacker exploited a vulnerability allowing unlimited minting of yETH, swiftly draining the entire yETH pool in a single transaction. On-chain data reveals that approximately 1,000 ETH, valued at around $3 million, was subsequently transferred to Tornado Cash. The attack appears to have been executed through several newly deployed contracts, some of which self-destructed immediately after the transaction. The extent of the impact on the original $11 million fund size of the yETH pool remains uncertain. Yearn Finance officials are investigating the incident and have emphasized that their V2 and V3 vaults remain unaffected.
