Citi Partners with SIX Digital Exchange for Tokenization of Private Shares

According to BlockBeats, Citi has partnered with SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), the digital asset division of Switzerland's leading securities trading platform, to tokenize private shares. This collaboration aims to streamline the $750 billion market, which currently relies on PDF files and paper documents. Citi will serve as a custodian and issuing agent for SDX's regulated blockchain platform, the Central Securities Depository (CSD) platform. This initiative will provide tokenized versions of late-stage, private company equities, enhancing efficiency and accessibility in the market.
