According to Odaily, some Polymarket users have reported that their accounts, accessed through Google login, were attacked, resulting in the theft of their USDC balances. The attackers exploited a 'proxy' feature to steal the funds, but only a small number of users who logged in via Google were affected. Users who utilized browser extension wallets such as MetaMask and Trustwallet were not impacted by this issue. After depositing funds, users noticed their balances were emptied. Polymarket officials have initiated an investigation into the matter. The total loss reported by users has exceeded $5,000.
