Uranium Digital Raises $16.5 Million in Series A Led by Blockchain Capital

Uranium Digital, a New York-based startup, has raised $16.5 million in a Series A round led by Blockchain Capital, with existing investors Portal Ventures and Apeiron Investment Group participating. According to Odaily, the round closed last month, and the funds will be used to expand the company's electronic trading platform. Founded in 2024, Uranium Digital aims to use blockchain to track ownership of physical uranium at storage facilities and provide institutions with a platform to buy and sell uranium. The company plans to shift transactions from broker inquiries, email contracts and offline warehouse delivery to electronic trading. Uranium Digital raised $6.1 million in a seed round in 2025. Demand from AI data centers has drawn more attention to nuclear power and the uranium fuel market.
