James Check: Bitcoin’s Boring Phase Is Its Bull Case

Checkonchain founder James Check says Bitcoin’s shift toward lower volatility is its strongest bull case. Bitcoin’s 1-month realized volatility fell to 25.2%, near levels last seen in summer 2023, according to BeInCrypto. JPMorgan’s 2027 outlook forecasts 10% annual Bitcoin returns but excludes the asset from model portfolios, citing volatility and unstable correlations. Check says a 2% average allocation would bring significant capital into Bitcoin and expects the quiet stretch to last until it clears $100,000. Long-term holders who bought between $85,000 and $118,000 may sell into a recovery toward $85,000.
