Avalanche's Helicon Upgrade to Cut Primary Network Validation Period to 48 Hours

Avalanche's Helicon upgrade is scheduled to reduce the minimum Primary Network validation period from 336 hours to 48 hours. According to NS3.AI, the upgrade will activate on Avalanche Mainnet on Sept. 22 at 15:00 UTC. New validation periods will require at least 90% uptime to qualify for rewards. Helicon will also start a 90-day adjustment that lowers the minimum consumption rate from 10% to 7.5%.
