STOCKS | AT Global Markets Sees Dollar-Yen Rising Above 158 Before Bank of Japan Decision

AT Global Markets said dollar-yen may extend its gains and rise above 158 before the Bank of Japan's policy decision on Friday. According to Sina Finance, Nick Twidale, chief market analyst in Sydney, said the Federal Reserve's rate hike confirmed that the recent decline in dollar-yen was somewhat excessive and that he expected further correction in the next few trading days. Twidale said dollar-yen could climb to around 158.40, near the 200-day moving average, after the Federal Reserve's hawkish signals. He also said the move in interest-rate differentials will depend on how hawkish the Bank of Japan is on Friday. Dollar-yen was little changed at 156.23 after rising 0.8% in the previous session.
