Aave Community Proposes Umbrella Deployment on Aave V4

Aave community members have published a proposal to deploy Umbrella on Aave V4, with the proposal submitted by TokenLogic. According to Foresight News, the plan would add an Umbrella coverage mechanism for specific markets on Aave V4, shift deficit risk to independent underwriting suppliers, and account for debt on the Spoke side and asset shortfalls on the Hub side. The first suggested markets are Core WETH, USDC, and USDT. The proposed parameters are 800 ETH, 400,000 USDC, and 400,000 USDT, with deficit buffers of 33 ETH, 15,000 USDC, and 15,000 USDT. Umbrella funds in the Hub would continue to serve as productive supply until they are used to burn shares and cover deficits.
