STOCKS | SpaceX Launches SES's Final Three O3b mPOWER Satellites, Expanding Constellation to 13

SpaceX launched SES's 11th through 13th O3b mPOWER satellites on September 13, completing deployment of the company's second-generation medium Earth orbit communications constellation. According to Sina Finance, the three satellites are scheduled to enter commercial service in mid-2027 after orbit-raising and testing. The Falcon 9 lifted off at 14:49 U.S. Eastern Time on September 13 from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, carrying satellites F11, F12 and F13. The first-stage booster, B1080, flew for the 29th time and landed on an autonomous droneship in the Atlantic about 8.5 minutes after liftoff. The newly launched satellites will join 10 already operating spacecraft to form the full 13-satellite O3b mPOWER constellation. SES said the system serves enterprise, government, mobile network operators, aviation and maritime customers, and can provide tens of Mbps to several Gbps of capacity per service location.
