Ford Announces $1 Billion Kentucky Truck Plant Paint Shop Investment

According to CNBC, Ford Motor announced a $1 billion investment to build a new paint shop at its Kentucky Truck Plant. The company said the project will replace the plant's existing paint shop and modernize one of Ford's most important manufacturing operations, and it plans to break ground later this year. The announcement came two days after Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy expressed profound concern about Ford's ties to Chinese companies, comments Ford called a wrongheaded attempt to capture headlines.
