CSRC Says Listed Companies Disclosed 370 Major Asset Restructurings Since 2024 M&A Rules

China Securities Regulatory Commission Vice Chairman Li Chao said on September 10 that since the 2024 "M&A Six Measures" were introduced, listed companies have disclosed 370 major asset restructurings, according to Jiemian News. He also said that since the new "Nine Guidelines" were issued, listed companies have paid out more than 7 trillion yuan in dividends and share buybacks, more than 2,000 companies have paid dividends for five consecutive years, and more than 1,000 companies have carried out interim dividends. Li said the CSRC will continue to use the capital market as the main channel for mergers and restructurings and will push listed companies to strengthen investor-return awareness and improve the continuity, timeliness and predictability of returns to investors.
