SGX Gets CFTC Approval to Offer Bitcoin and Ether Perpetual Futures to U.S. Institutions

SGX has obtained CFTC authorization to open its bitcoin and ether perpetual futures to U.S. institutional investors. According to NS3.AI, the exchange has processed $5.8 billion in cumulative volume since its November 2025 launch. Regulation 48.10 allows qualifying foreign exchanges to provide U.S. participants with direct access to their trading systems. The approval gives SGX a path to expand access to its crypto derivatives products for eligible institutional clients in the United States.
