HOMECONTROL Says Current Board Was Appointed After Events Behind HKEX Disciplinary Action

HOMECONTROL (01747) said all current board members were appointed after the events that led to disciplinary action by the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong against the group and two former directors, according to ETNet. The company said it has voluntarily appointed a compliance adviser to provide ongoing guidance and support to the board and management, with the aim of strengthening internal controls and its compliance governance framework. It added that the current board was not involved in the historical matters covered by the disciplinary statement, but has carefully considered the exchange's findings and concerns and is taking steps to reinforce internal controls and compliance.
