New Higher Education Group (02001) said Ho Kwok-chun has been appointed as an independent non-executive director and a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees, as well as chairman and member of the newly established sustainability committee, effective from yesterday, according to ETNet.
The company said Ho is currently the Hong Kong Jockey Club Professor of Economics at the University of Hong Kong, director of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Global Institute for Sustainability at the university, director of the ESG Institute at HKU Business School (Shenzhen), and research director of the China Center at the University of Chicago's Energy and Environment Policy Institute. He will be entitled to a director's fee of HK$300,000 a year.
