Russia's National Wealth Fund Reaches $154.1 Billion, Holds 184 Billion Yuan and 131.5 Tons of Gold

According to Jin10, Russia's Ministry of Finance said on September 7 that, as of September 1, the National Wealth Fund (NWF) totaled 13.19 trillion rubles, or about $154.1 billion, equal to 5.6% of projected 2026 GDP. Its liquid assets stood at 4 trillion rubles, or about $46.7 billion, up from 3.69 trillion rubles on August 1, and the fund held 184 billion yuan, 131.5 tons of gold, and 1.7 billion rubles in accounts at the Bank of Russia. From January to August 2026, foreign-currency asset exchange-rate changes and gold revaluation gains for the fund totaled 594.8 billion rubles.
