Uniswap Burns 178,000 UNI as Robinhood Chain Accounts for Most of the Total

Uniswap’s official burn mechanism destroyed 178,000 UNI yesterday, according to Dune data. According to ChainCatcher, Robinhood Chain contributed 144,000 UNI, accounting for more than 80% of the total and far exceeding Ethereum, Base, and other chains. On July 15, Uniswap launched a governance proposal to extend protocol fee collection and the UNI burn mechanism to Robinhood Chain across v2, v3, and v4. Under the proposal, protocol fees generated on Robinhood Chain would be sent to the TokenJar contract on that chain, and searchers could redeem fees by bridging UNI back to Ethereum mainnet and sending it to a burn address.
