Robinhood CEO Says Tokenization Is Opening U.S. Capital Markets to Global Investors

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said on X that tokenization is making high-quality financial assets in U.S. capital markets available to global investors. According to Odaily, he said the tokenization industry remains small compared with global financial markets, but its advantages in 24/7 trading, asset programmability, composability, and self-custody are becoming more apparent. Tenev said traditional financial infrastructure is built on fixed trading hours, closed networks, and multiple layers of intermediaries, and no longer meets current investor demand. He added that founders, liquidity providers, traders, and infrastructure teams are all pushing the tokenization sector forward, but that it will take time for the traditional financial system to further accept the model.
