Uganda Mourns Tooro King Oyo After Body Returns Home

According to the BBC, the body of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the world's youngest reigning monarch, was flown back to Uganda after he died in the US last week aged 34 following treatment for an aggressive form of cancer. President Yoweri Museveni was among mourners at Entebbe airport as the coffin was carried from the plane. The Tooro king will be buried next Saturday, the day he had hoped to mark the anniversary of his coronation. His return home begins the kingdom's official nine-day mourning period, while a public dispute has emerged over who will succeed him. Uganda's parliament held a special tribute on Thursday, and Museveni has ordered an official burial with national flags to fly at half-mast for three days around the funeral.
