ZKsync to Phase Out Legacy Execution Environments Across Boojum and EraVM Chains

ZKsync said all Boojum and EraVM chains will begin phasing out their legacy execution environments over the next six months, with each chain set to publish its own timeline. According to Foresight News, the move is intended to address security risks as AI lowers the cost of vulnerability discovery. ZKsync said its successor architecture, ZKsync Atlas, was designed from the start for this new environment and will not be affected by the upgrade. Funds held in EOA wallets will require no action, while assets held through smart contracts such as multisig wallets, smart accounts, and DEXs will need action after each chain announces its migration plan.
