Ramp Data Chief Says OpenAI and Anthropic Revenue Depends on Few Customers

Ramp data chief Ara Kharazian said the latest Ramp data shows AI company revenue is highly dependent on a small number of customers. According to ChainCatcher, he said 80% of OpenAI and Anthropic enterprise revenue comes from 1% of customers, and the concentration has not improved. Kharazian said this is a level of concentration risk he has not seen in any other software category he tracks. He added that the top 1% of customer companies are heavily skewed toward the technology sector and toward AI products and services, especially as OpenAI and Anthropic approach IPOs.
