Bitcoin Market Rebounds as Trading Volume and Options Signals Turn Bullish

The crypto market recovered over the past week, with total market capitalization rising from $2.21 trillion to $2.64 trillion and daily trading volume briefly climbing from $40 billion to $162 billion. According to ChainCatcher, daily volume has since eased to about $109 billion, and whether it can stay above $100 billion is seen as a key test of market momentum. Stablecoin market capitalization remains an important gauge of fresh fiat inflows, but overall growth has been limited, with only USDC posting a modest increase. According to ChainCatcher, similar inflows seen between August 2024 and October 2025 have not reappeared, making stablecoin expansion a key indicator of whether the rally is being driven by new capital or short-term leverage. Bitcoin’s market dominance has held around 58% to 60% in recent months and edged higher in August. According to ChainCatcher, options market data also turned more bullish, with Bitcoin options skew moving from deeply negative to positive for the first time since October 2025, while September implied volatility rose from 33.8% to 41.1% before easing to 38.5%. Bitcoin is facing short-term technical resistance between $78,214 and $82,139, while $70,973 is described as an important support level. According to ChainCatcher, a sustained move above $82,000 could improve risk appetite further, but the broader trend still needs confirmation from trading volume and capital inflows.
