STOCKS | PICC Property & Casualty Rises 5.1% After Interim Profit Jumps 32.1%

PICC Property & Casualty (02328) rose 5.1% to HK$16.8 after reporting a 32.1% year-on-year increase in interim net profit to RMB 32.296 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, according to ETNet. The insurer said basic earnings per share were RMB 1.452 and it declared an interim dividend of RMB 0.34 per share. Premium income from original insurance contracts rose 1.3% to RMB 327.529 billion, while insurance service revenue increased 2.2% to RMB 254.617 billion. Its market share in China's property insurance market was 33.3%. ETNet also reported that the Hang Seng Index was down 1% at 25,327, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell 0.6% to 8,440, and the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 1.4% to 4,541. Mainboard turnover topped HK$50.5 billion.
