Gfund Tops China Fund Managers With 24.59 Billion Yuan First-Half Profit

Gfund overtook E Fund to become China’s most profitable fund manager in the first half of 2026, with net profit rising 108.38% year on year to 2.459 billion yuan and revenue up 73.19% to 6.751 billion yuan, according to Jiemian News. Among 68 public fund firms tracked, 53 posted higher net profit and nine doubled profit. E Fund reported first-half revenue of 7.736 billion yuan, up 31.22%, and net profit of 2.333 billion yuan, up 24.30%. ICBC Credit Suisse Fund posted net profit of 2.218 billion yuan, up 27.11%. Southern Asset Management, ChinaAMC, Fullgoal Fund and Xingzheng Global Fund ranked fourth to seventh, all with first-half net profit above 1 billion yuan. Harvest Fund’s net profit rose 90.34% to 913 million yuan, while Tianhong Fund was the only top-10 firm to post a decline, with net profit down 2.32%. Among other firms, Yongying Fund stood out with revenue of 1.996 billion yuan, up 122.52%, and net profit of 522 million yuan, up 186.81%. Caitong Fund reported revenue of 637 million yuan, up 172.25%, and net profit of 278 million yuan, up 201.2%. By contrast, Guohai Franklin Fund, Chuangjin Hexin Fund and Founder Fubon Fund all posted lower profit. Six firms remained in the red, including Nanhua Fund, Donghai Fund, Huaxi Fund, Suxin Fund, Jiangxin Fund and Pioneer Fund. Jiemian News said fund firms’ own capital investments and performance fees from private products also boosted revenue. Wind data showed 149 fund and asset managers bought or redeemed 518 products in the first half, including 217 fund products purchased by the firms themselves and 301 redeemed. Gfund bought 300 million yuan of Gfund Shengze One-Year Holding, 100 million yuan of Gfund Advantage Growth and 50 million yuan of Gfund Competitive Advantage. Huatai Securities Asset Management and Ruyuan Fund each bought 100 million yuan of their own products. E Fund also made large self-purchases across several funds, including High-End Manufacturing, Quantitative Stock Selection, Supply-Side Reform, Active Growth and Core Intelligent Manufacturing.
