Active QDII Fund Shifts Into Semiconductor Hardware Across U.S. Tech Holdings

China-based investors looking at U.S. tech stocks can use actively managed QDII funds as an alternative to passive index products, with managers adjusting portfolios based on industry-chain judgments and valuations, according to Jiemian News. In the second-quarter report of Guofu Global Technology Interconnection Mixed (QDII), as of June 30, 2026, semiconductor- and hardware-related names filled nine of the fund's top 10 holdings: Micron, MKS Instruments, TSMC, Intel, Corning, Sandisk, Lam Research, Google-C, Advantest and Nokia. Information technology accounted for 79.35% of the fund's net asset value. Compared with the end of the first quarter, Sandisk, Advantest and Nokia entered the top 10, while Nvidia, Tower Semiconductor and TTM Technologies dropped out. The fund is managed by Di Xinghua of Franklin Templeton Sealand Fund, who has 18 years of securities industry experience and seven years of mutual fund management experience. She uses an in-house financial model to estimate target price ranges and trims positions when share prices hit the target and fundamentals have not improved beyond expectations. Wind data showed that as of June 30, 2026, the fund's RMB A-share class had returned 119.98% over one year, 245.60% over three years and 235.79% over five years.
