A person familiar with the matter said the United States and Iran were expected to hold a new round of talks next week, with Switzerland cited as a possible venue. The report said Qatari negotiators coordinated with the United States on Friday to travel to Iran and meet Iranian officials, aiming to reduce tensions and create conditions for resuming talks. A diplomat was quoted as saying it was clear both sides wanted to return to the framework of a memorandum of understanding.
