Cango Launches EcoHash After Buying 50 Exahash of Bitmain Rigs and Selling 6,451 Bitcoin

Cango has launched EcoHash after acquiring about 50 exahash of Bitmain mining rigs and entering Bitcoin mining, while also shifting its focus toward AI inference at smaller, distributed sites rather than large AI training campuses. According to NS3.AI, the company sold 6,451 Bitcoin for around $442 million as part of an effort to sharply reduce its long-term debt. The company’s EcoHash launch follows its move into mining capacity through the Bitmain rig acquisition. Cango said its AI strategy is aimed at inference workloads deployed across smaller locations, contrasting with centralized training-focused data center campuses. Cango’s Bitcoin sale and debt-reduction effort were presented alongside these operational changes.
