China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has set a 2026 enrollment target of 1.25 million students for technical schools. According to Jin10, the ministry recently issued a notice specifying the target for program-based admissions at technical schools. Local technical schools will recruit and train key groups, including rural workers seeking to transfer to non-farm employment, university graduates who have left school but remain unemployed, registered unemployed people, and those facing employment difficulties.
