AEON Expands to Zambia With Airtel Money and MTN Mobile Money Integration

AEON, an AI agent settlement protocol, said it has expanded into Zambia by integrating with local mobile wallets Airtel Money and MTN Mobile Money to enable real-time fiat settlement between crypto assets and the Zambian kwacha. According to ChainCatcher, AEON said it now supports crypto-to-fiat settlement in Zambia through these mobile money rails. The company said it covers more than 50 million merchants globally and that the Zambia integration targets access for over 70% of local e-wallet users. AEON also said it plans to extend its AI agent settlement network to emerging markets in Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
