STOCKS | Citic Securities Notes Accelerating MLCC Price Increases, Compares Cycle to 2017–2018

A Citic Securities research report said it has recently observed an accelerating wave of price increases in the multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) industry. According to Odaily, the report said the current MLCC cycle is expected to be comparable to the 2017–2018 boom cycle. The report added that the duration of the price increases is expected to last more than one year. It also said price hikes at original manufacturers are expected to potentially double or rise by an even larger margin.
