WORLD CUP | England beat Panama 2-0 as Jude Bellingham scores and sets up goal

England beat Panama 2-0 in their final Group L match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup at New York-New Jersey Stadium on Saturday evening to finish top of the group, one point ahead of Croatia. Jude Bellingham scored the opener with a volley and delivered the cross for England’s second goal, according to Yahoo Sports. England also faced injury issues at right-back: Reece James suffered a hamstring injury before the match, his replacement Jarell Quansah was later forced off injured, and Tino Livramento had been injured before the tournament, leaving Thomas Tuchel potentially with Djed Spence as the only specialist right-back option for the round of 32.
