Europol said a joint law-enforcement operation codenamed “Endgame” disrupted cybercrime infrastructure tied to malware used to steal sensitive victim data, seizing about $47 million in illicit cryptocurrency and recovering more than 27 million stolen credentials. According to ChainCatcher, the action involved authorities from Canada, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States.
The operation targeted online infrastructure that supported “cybercrime-as-a-service” activity linked to three malware strains: SocGholish, Amadey, and StealC.
Authorities took action against 326 servers and 142 domains as part of the crackdown.
