Pop Mart’s flagship IP LABUBU launched its “Retro Barbershop” series for online sale on the evening of June 25, and several regular editions quickly traded below the official issue price, a rare “break issue” move for the line, according to 36Kr. Price charts on the Dewu app showed models including “After the Rain” and “Light Blue Prelude” falling to around RMB 100 within 30 minutes of release, RMB 59 below the issue price, a decline of more than 30%.
