He said the SAVE America Act is critical to ensuring fair elections. Punchbowl reported that Johnson also met with U.S. Defense Secretary Hegseth to discuss a supplemental defense appropriations bill. The report said the move appeared to confirm an earlier report that the White House would ask Congress to pass a new spending package to cover the costs of the Iran war.
