CITIC Securities: S&P 500 and Nasdaq Valuation Percentiles Have Fallen From Peaks

CITIC Securities said valuation percentiles for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq have fallen significantly from historical highs, while full-year earnings expectations for U.S. equities have continued to be revised upward, leaving valuations and earnings still attractively aligned, according to 36Kr. In sector allocation, the brokerage recommended focusing in the second half of the year on four areas: technology, defense, energy infrastructure, and financials (banks and fintech), adding that fundamentals are expected to remain the main driver of market trading themes.
