U.S. President Donald Trump canceled a signing ceremony for a bipartisan housing bill that would ban a U.S. central bank digital currency (CBDC) until 2031. According to NS3.AI, the Senate passed the bill 85-5, and the House approved it 358-32. Trump described the legislation as being “of minor importance” and said he would not sign it unless Congress passes the SAVE America Act.
