MEET48 Launches 2026 MIPC Voting and Opens Second IDOL Time-Limited Staking Program

MEET48 has launched the 2026 Global Idol Popularity Final Election (MIPC) alongside a second phase of its IDOL time-limited staking program, with the 2026 MIPC currently underway. According to Foresight News, users can participate in voting by completing tasks or purchasing scorecards to support their preferred idols. MEET48 said IDOL, the ecosystem’s core token, is used for voting fees, ecosystem incentives, and community interaction. The report added that the first WIPA event in 2025 attracted more than 78 million IDOL tokens for voting, representing 1.63% of total supply, which MEET48 described as a record for Web3 idol competitions. MEET48 also launched the second phase of its IDOL time-limited staking program on June 18. Participants are offered a fixed annualized return of 40% and receive a yield certificate called vIDOL. Users can hold vIDOL until September 30, 2026, to redeem IDOL at a 1:1 ratio, or trade via swaps through a liquidity pool on Minke Finance. The vIDOL swap function is supported by Minke Finance, the report said.
