Lazard Makes Late Bid to Replace Centerview as Venezuela Adviser

Lazard Inc. is making a late bid to dislodge Centerview Partners as Venezuela’s financial adviser, offering to oversee one of the largest-ever sovereign debt restructurings for a sharply lower fee. According to Bloomberg, the proposal would put Lazard in charge of the restructuring at a reduced cost compared with Centerview’s terms.
