Xandeum has launched Oxorro, a storage platform designed to ensure data accessibility even if the provider ceases to exist. According to BeInCrypto, Oxorro challenges the conventional storage model by prioritizing data persistence over provider reliability. This approach addresses scenarios like the May 2024 incident where Google Cloud accidentally deleted UniSuper’s private cloud subscription, affecting over 620,000 members. Xandeum's CEO, Bernie Blume, emphasizes that Oxorro offers 'Unstoppable Operational Data,' ensuring data remains accessible despite vendor failures or policy changes. Oxorro integrates with existing systems, providing a familiar file system interface.
